Printed Electronics Research Institute conducts research
on gravure roll which can reduce process steps of printed electronics dramatically.
  • Printed Electronics is a technology by which electrical circuit pattern can be printed on film with conductive ink. By using it, process can become dramatically simple.
  • With Gravure Method, massive production of Roll-to-roll is available, decreasing cost and increasing productivity to the innovative level.
  • Handoo Package makes massive production of Roll-to-roll available by studying on optimized cell, pattern, and realizing line width of micro level.

APPLICATION
  • MLCC (Multi Layer Ceramic Capacitors)
Parts are increasingly asked to be miniaturized to enhance packaging density as electrical parts are becoming integrated and microminiaturized. Multi-layer ceramic capacitors is the one to substitute the existing circle-type. MLCC is a kind of condenser used for every electrical products. MLCC printing and layer-building process is a core process to build electrical circuit on ceramic and metal film of 150 nanometer (1 nanometer is 1/10 billion meter), and make multi-layers. Like a tall building, the more layers are built, the more capacity to store electricity is obtained. Also, the efficiency of MLCC increases as the number of layer increases.
  • TSP (Touch Screen Panel)
It is an input device of operating system with which user can input data by only touching display with his or her hand or certain object. TSP had been widely used for process facilities and also once used for cell phone device. But, it failed to become popular among users once it had been rolled out. However, TPS has been gaining significant attention again as smart-phones with TPS are released by Samsung Galaxy and Apple iPhone.
  • RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)
RFID is a recognition technology of next generation that can handle information of several objects, including plant and animal by using IC engraving and wireless network. It consists of Reader (to conduct reading and decoding function) and Tag (to conduct providing information). Tag (attached into product) is designed to contain many information on production, circulation, storage, and consumption while reader reads such an information by using antenna. RFID is used with information system by connecting with satellite and mobile communication network.
  • FPCB
    (FLEXIBLE PRINTED CIRCUITS BOARD)
It is an electrical parts which was developed as electrical products become more miniaturized and light. It has superior performance and strong resistance against heat, deformation and chemical material. Thanks to its strong heat-resistance, it is used as core parts for most of electrical products, including camera, computer, external device, cell phone, video device, audio device, camcorder, printer, DVD, TFT LCD, satellite device, military device and medical equipment.
  • Dye Sensitized Solar Cell
It is the next generation’s solar cell designed to have high-level energy efficiency by using nano-technology and organic dyes. Like plant’s chlorophyll which photosynthesize by absorbing solar energy, electron is radiated from absorbed molecular of dye when dye sensitized solar cell receives sunlight delivered by photoelectrode. And electrical energy is generated as the electron travels.
  • Printed Heater
It is a product utilizing a characteristic of current which becomes thermal energy. Its flocculent heating element is designed to generate intended heat by making a pattern with conductive ink on a film. Printed heater is mainly used for side mirror on automible.
